Sexual abuse is defined by any interpersonal sexual relationship, in which one of the parties involved does not consent to the sexual act, and which implies violence, be it psychological, social and/or physical.
Sexual abuse occuring within the family aggravates sexual violence, because it does not allow for the provision of a structure to ensure the psychosocial adjustment of the abused individual.
The incest issue must be approached from the dynamics found in the inter-relation contained in its several aspects: the legal, the social, the medical and the psychological.
